Getting Started

What is the NDIS?

The National Disability Insurance Scheme provides funding for Australians under 65 with a permanent and significant disability. It helps participants access supports and services to live independently and participate in the community.

How do I know if I'm eligible for the NDIS?

You may be eligible if you're under 65, an Australian citizen or permanent resident, and have a permanent disability that affects your daily life. Visit the NDIS website or contact us for guidance.

How do I get started with Delta Community Support?

You can make a referral through our website, call us on (07) 3497 3721, or ask your support coordinator to contact us. We'll arrange a free meet-and-greet to discuss your needs.

Do I need a referral to access your services?

No formal referral is required. You, a family member, support coordinator, plan manager, or health professional can contact us directly.

What areas do you service?

We operate across Queensland (Brisbane, Gold Coast, Sunshine Coast, Ipswich, Logan, Moreton Bay) and Victoria (Melbourne — south east, north, and western suburbs). Visit our Brisbane and Melbourne pages for more details.

Our Services

What is Supported Independent Living (SIL)?

SIL provides 24/7 support for people living in shared or individual arrangements. It includes personal care, meal preparation, household tasks, and community participation — all tailored to your goals and routines.

What does in-home support include?

In-home support covers personal care (showering, dressing), domestic assistance (cleaning, laundry), meal preparation, medication reminders, and companionship — delivered in your own home on a flexible schedule.

What community access activities do you offer?

We support social outings, recreational activities, group programs, volunteering, skill development (cooking, budgeting, public transport), and accessing community facilities like libraries, gyms, and pools.

Can you help with transport?

Yes! We provide transport to medical appointments, community activities, social outings, and daily errands across our service areas in QLD and VIC.

Funding & Plans

How does NDIS funding work?

Your NDIS plan includes funding in categories like Core Supports and Capacity Building. We work within your plan's budget and can help you understand which line items cover our services.

What if I don't have an NDIS plan yet?

Contact us anyway. We can guide you through the application process, help you understand eligibility, and connect you with a support coordinator who can assist with your plan.

Can you help me understand my NDIS plan?

While we're not registered for support coordination, we can explain how your plan relates to our services. We also partner with trusted support coordinators who can provide more detailed plan guidance.

Do you work with plan managers and support coordinators?

Absolutely. We work with all plan management types — self-managed, plan-managed, and NDIA-managed. We also have strong relationships with support coordinators across QLD and VIC.

Quality & Safety

Are you a registered NDIS provider?

Yes. We are registered with the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission (Provider #4050018246). This means we meet strict quality and safety standards, and our workers are screened and trained.

How do you ensure quality of support?

We follow the NDIS Practice Standards, conduct regular quality audits, provide ongoing staff training, and actively seek participant feedback. Every support plan is reviewed regularly with the participant.

How do I make a complaint or give feedback?

We welcome feedback. You can contact us directly, use our complaints form at deltacommunity.com.au/complaints, or contact the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission on 1800 035 544.
